Mount Pinatubo eruption on 1991 is said to be one of the greatest disasters in world history, beating that of the historical Mount Vesuvius of Rome on AD 79. The succeeding eruptions of Pinatubo in the country has made massive attacks on several regions, most particularly the Central Luzon. It took two decades for Pampanga in particular to recover into having a strong city which is the Angeles City now.

All in a days work, it was a great test of resiliency for the Kapampangans.
